Medicine Hat, AB

Wild Rose Trailer Park
Site #84 - $17 (x5) p/w/s showers upgraded and free, no fires

We did some shopping and then went to Mikes.

Sunday we went to Nick's ball games and then to Leane's grad church service.

Mike had taken Monday off, so he and Ron tore out the old wet flooring on Mike's tent trailer. I went shopping while they did that.

Tuesday, we went out with Tom Bachmeier to look at some condos.

** ON WEDNESDAY WE MADE OFFER AND PURCHASED OUR NEW MEDICINE HAT CONDO!!**

How exciting is this?! Also, we are now very happy that the Osoyoos condos didn't pan out!

On Thursday we headed back to Saskatoon to prepare our house for sale.

Ainsworth, BC

Woodbury Creek Resort & Marina
Site #99 - $22 p/w

This campground is basically stall parking, but it overlooks Kootenay Lake and we had a lake front spot.

We made use of the hotsprings (caves) and had an evening fire. Our one neighbour with large motorhome was a regular from New Mexico and our other neighbour was formerly from Kaslo, but now living in Vancouver.

Osoyoos, BC

Wild Rapids Campground
Site #3 - $18 (x4), wood cost

We got set up and then sat and relaxed for our customary beer. A couple walked by and we started chatting with them. They were 'full-timers' who spent their winters in Mexico where they had some family. They had been from High River.

She showed me her "Sharp" connection that she could hook up to for email. Very cool. She mentioned her having a French background and I looked at Ron and said "yes, she reminds me of Michelle". She got a funny look and said "Michelle who?" I told her of our French friends, the Grattons, and here this was a SISTER!! Rosemary and Raymond. (She immediately sent an email to Michelle re this.) Pretty cool!

On Tuesday we rode our bikes to town and both went for hair cuts. Ron to a barber and I went to a salon across the street. We also checked out a few condos and went through the show suites. Nice! We headed back to the RV for our truck and drove to a couple more condo but they weren't as nice as the ones we'd seen earlier. We were prepared to put an offer on the first condos we'd visited, but the real estate fellow said they already had offers. He didn't seem to be too interested in showing us anything else, so we left.

Wednesday we drove to Oliver. We toured the General Coach plant and drove by some of the condos there.  Nothing really caught our eye.  I was able to send email from the Chamber of Commerce.

Anyway, we enjoyed our Osoyoos stay and our many bike rides and walks about the campground and the townsite.
