Leaving Golden

We left Golden in the fog Thursday morning. There was lots of holiday traffic on the road and plenty of construction stops.

We arrived at Silver Star RV Park at 12:30 pm, had lunch, headed to Jeff's and went to work. We barely had time to take in our surroundings at the campsite. It was a busy few days. Jeff was finishing up floor board installation upstairs, Christal's friend, Linda was painting the back of the house and there was plenty of last minute house and wedding preps. Garbage runs, tarp hanging, picture hanging, decorating, table and chair set up. This Grandma kept busy entertaining grandchildren. The best job!

It was with plenty of sadness that we closed up the cabin last Thursday at the end of another great season. That sadness quickly turned to excitement as we now head off on another RV trip!

Weather-wise, August has been such an awesome month. Perfect for those lazy days of sipping a cold one and floating on the lake on a lounge. Not so great when you are trying to load up the RV. There was lots of sweat involved with those temps at 34C!

So, our trip began at 9:30 am today with a new audio book for our listening pleasure and the GPS set for Whispering Spruce Campground in Golden, BC. We are just arriving and will be setting up shortly.

Tomorrow it is on to Vernon for Jeff and Christal's back yard wedding celebration on Saturday.

After that? Well you'll just have to follow along if you want to know. It will be a surprise for you and for us! No plans yet!
