Henderson Lake Campground
p/w/s - no fires
Your basic 'parking lot style' camping for overnighters. The Exhibition grounds are beside the campground and there were Chuckwagon Races taking place. Busy and noisy.
I was feeling sick and with the site being a big disappointment, one night was more than enough. We headed for home on Sunday. There is a great bike trail through the city. Something for another time!

Wasa Lake, BC
Hitching Post Campground
Site #19 - (x3) p/w, free wood
Campground was okay, but slightly unkempt and was full of mainly permanent units. There is a great bike path around the lake and we enjoyed a few rides.
We made a trip to the hot springs and we did a couple loads of laundry at the Motel laundromat that is available for campers to use.
It was nice except for the times it rained! Big surprise when Bob and Sharon contacted us and came for a visit. They had been in Radium for golfing.

Salmon Arm, BC
Pierre's Point Campground
Site #205 - $18 (Low season price x6) p/w/s
Nice campground on the Shuswap. The p/w sites were the best (1,37,100) although with not many people around, our site was okay. Unfortunately as we were to discover, there were trains. Also, EMCO had a weekend party. We moved to Site #2 hoping to distance ourselves from those noises!
Kari, Gerry and Jackson arrived on Friday, followed by Doug, Rina and kids. It sounds like Jackson screamed most of the drive, so not a very enjoyable trip for them! He is not fond of his car seat! They rented a room near the campground, Doug's tented beside us and used the van.
The weather was not the best, but we had an okay weekend despite.
They all headed home Sunday evening but we stayed an extra night to give us time to pack up and avoid being rushed to check out.

Winfield, BC
Wood Lake Campground
Site #CC - $21 (x4) p/w
All stall parking, but this spot was angled on a corner, so not too bad. We were second row and had a great view of the lake. That is until people arrived on Saturday.
We came with a flat tire, so Ron changed it and bought a used replacement for $20.
Friday evening was spent at Dougs.
We went for a bike ride Saturday am and Doug and family came out for the afternoon and stayed for supper.
Sunday Ron and Doug went golfing and we had Sunday supper at Dougs. (Sick kids). We did some shopping and went for a drive tour on Monday.
