We pulled out of our campsite at 10:00 a.m. this morning. Our neighbors had already taken down their gazebo and left the campground just before us. We chuckled. We couldn't believe they spent so much time setting up for just the one evening. And they hardly spent any time in it at all.
One hour down the road we pulled in to Lundbreck Falls campground and were greeted with the sign "Reservations Only". 🤬 F**k.
And this is why we no longer like our Alberta Provincial Parks. You can't just drive in and pick an empty site. We continued on. Right up to our driveway.
We had thought about heading to a couple of other campgrounds but then decided to just go home. I have 5 weeks of laundry. (We only washed our underwear on this trip!) We will spend a couple nights at home and we will probably head somewhere on Sunday. To a Private(!) NOT a provincial campspot!!
This was our welcome home greeting committee. Pheasant and deer. It is always good to see them!
