June 1 and back on the road . . .

I can't believe May has passed by and we've only had 3 nights of camping. I think this is the first year that we have been home for May since Ron's retirement. We discovered that all the trees in our complex are the flowering kind and are really very pretty! We haven't been around to see & appreciate them before! :)

Now, here it is June 1 and we are finally out in the 5th wheel again. It was a last minute decision. We picked up the RV after lunch, loaded up and drove 1 1/2 hrs. to the Taber Municipal Campground, arriving at 'Beer Time'! It's a nice quiet well treed park just out of town and in a little valley along the Old Man River. It's quite the bird sanctuary with constant bird 'chatter' and activity. We have a dove nest in our site & have enjoyed 'feeding' times.

Our spot is fairly high & dry, but much of the campground is flooded from all the rain this past month. They have been busy pumping water since we arrived. We were thinking this 'flooding' must be front page headlines in the Taber newspaper because there has been a steady stream of traffic aka 'sightseers' through the park since we arrived?? Or maybe this is a nightly occurrence & the park is just part of the small town's 'main drag'??

We enjoyed an evening campfire but once moved inside, we made use of the space heater. Still pretty chilly. We are spending 2 nights here but after that, we don't really know where we are going or how long we will be gone. (Do we sound like crazy old people?) From here, we will probably head to the Lundbreck Falls area in the Crowsnest Pass and after that, who knows :) .. You'll just have to follow the emails...

Well, we are both yawning. It must be bedtime!
