Then, it was over to Doug & Rina's for supper again. The game of the evening was 'Stock Ticker'. I don't think we've played that since one rainy day at the lake with Mike & the kids -- some 15+ years ago! I noticed that Ryley's Facebook status today was "Just lost a game of stock ticker. it sucks" -- (such a mean grandma & grandpa!)
Today we saw some sunshine! Things are looking up! We loaded up the bikes and headed to Myra Canyon where we biked the Kettle Valley Rail bed. This is the third time we've biked that 22 km trail, but a first since the 2003 forest fires. The trestles have all been rebuilt & although it is sad to see the devastation from the fire, the view from the mountain is amazing. It is an enjoyable & awesome ride.
Doug & family were busy this evening so we said our goodbyes to them last night. We originally had planned to drive to Cultus Lake, near Chilliwack tomorrow, but we had a Skype chat with Richard this evening and he invited us for dinner tomorrow. We have now decided we will just camp at Abbotsford for the night & then head to Surrey on Thurs.
