We enjoyed kid's soccer games. A Neighbourhood Block Party where the entire block is closed to traffic. The kids played street hockey and the adults enjoyed a visit, a cold beer or two, a live band - the "Hard Rock Miners" ... fun time.
Kari & the boys came to the RV for lunch & a hike in Tynehead Regional Park which turned out to be long & wet. They got lost & it poured! Richard & Janice came for dinner and we had coffee & a visit with Uncle Walter.
We didn't see a lot of Gerry this trip. He's been working long hours as Global switches to their virtual sets. Also, with Morgan now in full time kindergarten, Kari has started working again. She is going to be 'casual / on call' at the Accountant office she worked in 20 (?) years ago. She ended up working all but 1 day while we were here as the other office assistant was off for family issues. She is home by 3:00 to pick up the kids from school, although Ron took over those duties a couple of times.
So we put on lots of miles between the Surrey campground & Vancouver... Have I mentioned how much I hate Vancouver traffic?? The stress level goes up big time! Add to that some major highway & bridge construction -- yeah.. not good! We had a couple of days of sunshine and way too many days of rain... However the temp was warm & we didn't require our little electric heater at night for a change!
This morning we move on. We are liking the look of Osoyoos weather & that will be our next destination.
