Things I noticed yesterday: Drayton Valley morning temp. 3C. High for the day 11C.
Medicine Hat - sunny and 21C.... no further comment
A big work project at Charlie's yesterday. Ron removed the built-in broken-down dish washer to make way for a new one. It took quite a bit of time & effort plus a shutoff valve had to be installed in the water line. Jim & Jan arrived after lunch, so Jim provided some assistance! They also ran a new telephone wire for the computer. It will be quite some time before Charlie is back doing these 'odd' jobs! It was great to visit with the bros & sister-in-laws, but I think Charlie gets pretty tired from sitting all those hours. He had to take a few 'reclining' breaks. We all said our goodbyes by 9 p.m.
Monday. Back on the road. In the rain. And the cold, 6C. Otherwise it would have been nice :) We stopped for lunch at Hinton, bought a few groceries and continued through Jasper & Mt. Robson Parks. The leaves were noticeably changing colour -- ready or not, fall is coming. B U T ..... the SUN CAME OUT(!!!) & it warmed to 16C - Awesome!
We stopped at Blue River Campground for the night. That's 500 km. we drove today, people! A big drive in one day for us!! (A whole 20 chapters in our new audiobook!)
