Well we are taking our chances re getting a campsite on a weekend night and we are going to head down the Icefield Parkway today -- Jasper to Banff. The campground we are currently in is going through renos and we opted not to stay for the weekend.

Their fire pits are 'on order' :-) so we weren't able to have a wood fire last night. Actually that worked out, because we ended up with quite a downpour and we just pulled our propane firepit under the canopy and continued to enjoy the outdoors.

We had a couple of older fellows next door join us at the fire for awhile. (Their wives were with them, but stayed in the motorhome.) They were from Branson, Missouri and on their way to Alaska. It was their first time in Canada. Ron had lots of advice to offer :-)

Although weather reports say 60% chance of rain over the next few days, the sun is shining now --

so... We are off and running....
