Site #208 - $27, p/w, Internet, Temp 28C
We are in the Devon Lions Campground. Drove the 25 minutes from Gary's place this morning. It's a nice spot on the river, however, the sites are pretty close together. Anyway.... it will give us a chance to relax, catch up on some sleep, and make plans for our next stop. Plus internet once again. YAY !!!
We had a GREAT weekend at Gary's. Gary & Cara have a very nice acreage with a perfect spot for our 5th wheel -- One of the better campgrounds we've stayed in and the price was perfect! :-)
It was good to see everyone. Richard mixed up margaritas in the afternoon and after an excellent salmon bbque we sat around the firepit until well after midnight. Richard & Janice slept on our hide-a-bed and Charlie had his truck camper.
Our 'guests' are early risers - groan - and Richard had coffee perking by 6:30 a.m. (and he's supposed to be retired AND on BC time!!??) Anyway... we 'rolled out' of bed by 7:30 and sat around drinking coffee until the others all got up at a decent hour!!
Larry, Phyllis & Janet all had gone home for the night, but came back for a bacon & egg breakfast along with Cara's mom & step-dad. (It was Cara's birthday so we celebrated that with another birthday cake.)

We had a bocci tournament in the afternoon and then headed to Janet's for bbqued hamburgers. Jim arrived home from his Radium golf trip and Rhonda & Mike came over with the baby, so it was nice to be able to visit with them.
We just left our 5th wheel at Gary's and drove back there for the night. Gary was gone to work when we woke up this morning.... (Richard & Janice had stayed at Jim's and he drove them to the airport this morning -- so no wakeup calls!!) Cara was back from her school bus drop off by 9:30, so we had coffee and another visit before we left.
We haven't planned anything for the day... Just the 'vegetating' and relaxin' !! I'll probably give cousin Sandra & Campbell a call and see if they want to come & visit for the afternoon. (Edmonton is only about 1/2 hour from here.) Right now it's time for lunch!
Later: Cam & Sandra came for a visit. Sandra brought "Chicken Pot Pie" and I made a salad and had Cheesecake for dessert. Visited until 10 pm.
Tuesday we went for a bike ride and we had an evening campfire. We packed up and headed to Drayton at 10:30 am.
