Wed. in Vancouver

I haven't had much time to write. We seem to have been pretty busy.

Anyway, the wedding went great. One couldn't have asked for better weather for an outdoor wedding. Richard & Janice's back yard and garden looked amazing. They've done a LOT of work back there. The flowers and plants are gorgeous. They extended their deck with tile flooring plus cedar & glass railings. It looks like it is out of a home decor magazine.

They had poured cement for a lower deck earlier in the week, and when we arrived on Thurs, things were still quite a mess. Richard, Janice & sister, Judy were very busy!! Ron helped re-stack the wood pile and we put edging around the cement along with the decorative stone border.

By Friday everything was in order when Jim, Jan, Rhonda, baby Jayda plus Charlie & Carolyn, John & Chris arrived.

The ladies managed to find a couple foot baths, soaked our feet and did massage & pedicures on each other.  Great fun !!

It was good to see everyone. The Kesslars are great partiers and we were well entertained!!

The party back at the hotel after the wedding, continued until the wee hours of the morning. (Ron & I were snoring back at our 5th wheel by that time!!)
We picked up muffins and fruit on Sunday and had brunch at Richards on Sunday with all our kids and the bros.

So on Monday we put our 5th wheel in storage at the Abbotsford U-Haul. It's a good secure place and we were relieved that it all went so smoothly re the parking, storage etc.

Yesterday we took the sky train downtown and had our passports renewed. No problems and no waiting. We will pick them up when we get home from Ottawa.

You were talking about "being posed & powdered" in front of a lady & her children, mom. We did ours at Costco and they sit you on a stool in the front of the store in full display of everyone waiting in the checkout lines and leaving the store!! People would go by saying "smile", etc. She did however only take one snapshot of each of us and although we look like scary criminals, they were acceptable at the passport office.

This morning Ron & I went for a 20 km. bike ride along the path. When we got home, Ron walked with Kari to pick up Morgan and his little friend Ella at preschool. They were a little wet when they arrived home! It looks like our sunshine has disappeared.
Anyway... must go... it's time for lunch.
