We are lovin' these 'summer' days. And the nights!! It is awesome to have the vents and windows open again and to wake up to 23C on the thermometer. One can sit outside until bedtime in shorts and tank tops.
We weren't able to get our lakefront spot, so we opted for the big site at the back of the campground. Everyone mostly crowds to the front so it is like we are all alone back here. The privacy and the quiet is rather nice actually. We can ride our bikes up to catch the sunsets and we are more protected from the wind. It can be windy here and it was in fact when we arrived Friday. Yesterday and today have been perfect.
We do have a view of the boats coming and going from the boat launch. Big, fancy and expensive boats. Back in AB when we see the young people with such 'toys' we assume they work in the oil patch. Here?? No idea. But there is certainly no shortage of impressive watercraft being launched.
The Quail remain great entertainment. They peck and scratch around our campsite. Like chickens. So funny. We have discovered internet is available at the campground next door. Ron went in to check on their camping rates and I was busy in the truck on my computer. This morning I discovered a little spot down on the beach where I can pick up their wifi – pretty weak though.... We may look at getting a site there later in the week. They have some great front row lake views. We'll check out Parker area first though.
