Site #4 - $27, p/w/s, Internet, Temp 16C
Last night was a movie night. We sat for abit under the canopy and enjoyed the campfire from there, but when the wind came up and it started to rain harder, we were forced inside. It ended up to be quite the thunderstorm.
This morning we were on the road by 10 a.m. The foxes were out again when we drove by and I managed to get a couple of pics. We didn't see mama around.
We stopped in Regina for a few groceries and ate lunch in our RV and then headed to Oyama Regional Pk by Kronau. It's a 25 km drive to Kronau on Hwy 33 and then another 5 km to the park on a grid road. The grid road was not great travelling from the recent rain and then we get to the Park and it's CLOSED -- renos or something going on!! Couldn't believe it!! Nothing to indicate that on their sign on the highway. GRRRR!!
Well, we get turned around which is never fun when towing an RV and head back 4 km and Ron decides that we should take another grid road over to Hwy 48 and White City instead of back-tracking to Regina and out. Believe me I was NOT impressed!!
Anyway, a couple of kilometers down that road and it was worse than the previous grid. We ended up having to turn around, AGAIN, and head back to hwy 33. mumble mumble...... I was gripping the arm rest and the seat every inch of the way!! And our truck and trailer are now covered with mud from THAT disaster ! We need to find a truck wash!
Back to Regina and we started to the White City campground, but ended up at Buffalo Lookout RV Pk just out of Regina. It's pretty crowded (pipeline crew), but it's a decent spot and it's only for a couple of days so Ron can take care of his family tree stuff!! (Best of all, there is free internet hookup for me again!)
I'm not sure what's on the agenda for the remainder of the afternoon. I can hear Ron outside scraping mud off the RV :-) If he'd only listen to me. #1 Don't take the grid road !! #2 Better find a truck wash !! (stubborn old man!!)
