Friday: It was a tough decision, but this morning we decided to move on. We loved being outdoors from early morning to bedtime in our shorts & T-shirts. It was very quiet at that Havasu park and the nights were so warm that we left our windows and vents open. You just can't beat that!

Any how, we headed up Hwy 95 this morning. There was a stretch of highway that cuts back through CA and then in to Nevada again. The difference in the two highways is unbelievable! CA's single lane highway is full of cracks and hilly dips. The divided 4 lane Nevada highway is straight and smooth!! Arnold certainly needs to spend some money on road repairs!!

There was quite abit of traffic with the truckers and the RV's heading south. (and yes, we are quite aware of who the dummies are as we headed north!) We did have to stop for a train in the middle of the dessert / middle of nowhere. That was kind of a weird thing!! 

Back through Vegas we went and then up Hwy 93 to Alamo. I think we were driving on fumes the last 50 km. We were going to fill up before Vegas when we stopped for lunch, but Ron's card wouldn't work at the pump and he decided to leave it. Our check fuel light came on 100 km. out of Alamo and there was no fuel stops to be seen. When you are pulling a 5th wheel it's abit worrisome! 

Phew, we made it! Ron had the biggest fill ever at Alamo (and, it was one of the most expensive prices we've paid this trip)!

There was not much around for camping and we ended up a short distance up the road at Ash Springs (which sounds WAY nicer than it is!!) We are at a small campground behind the Shell service station (which incidentally had their diesel 10 cents/gal cheaper than what we just filled up for). It's only 14C here and not pretty camping!!

I think our holiday is over. It is time to dig out the jeans and sweatshirts and we are back to using our little electric heater... blaaa! To top it off, I just realized that it is Friday the 13th -- hahahaha
