Site #27 - $27, p/w, Cable, Internet, Temp 4C
We are in Twin Falls at the same campground that we stayed at after our Yellowstone tour last year. It was only 4C when we arrived at 3:30 p.m. yesterday, but the bright sun made it feel much warmer. They have insulated water hookups here, so we have hooked up and we have water in the RV once again. (Our water holding tank is probably still frozen and unusable!) And yes, we KNOW it's warmer back in Medicine Hat! We decided to spend two nights here to winterise before going home.
After "un-hooking" we went for a drive along the "1000 Springs Scenic By-Way" through the Hagerman Valley and along the Snake River. It really is a pretty drive with all the lava canyons / gorges, the lava rock formations and the natural springs flowing from the canyons. (And that is why we like to travel short distances and arrive early! It's nice to be able to tour the area!)
Today we drove to the Shoshone Falls and the Twin Falls just out of the city. Even though they weren't flowing at 'peak' (spring), they are quite impressive, especially the Shoshone which are higher than Niagara. My pics just don't do it justice.
After our scenic drive Ron took me shopping --- to the Sportsman Warehouse.Yep, lucky me, all that hunting & fishing stuff -- cool!!
Tomorrow we will drive to Dillon (Montana) for the night, then Great Falls for a night (or 2) and then home. Our ETA should be either Thursday or Friday.
