Site #110 - $31.50, p/w/s, Cable, Internet, Temp 9C
It was nice when we got closer to Great Falls and didn't have to see that skiff of snow anymore! It just SEEMS colder when there is snow on the side of the road! The sun was shining and it was 9C here. The campground owner says they haven't seen any snow in Great Falls yet.
So we set up and then did our customary tour. We've been here before, but there's always something new to see. We did the downtown drive and enjoyed some of the old "Central Avenue" buildings & architecture. The courthouse is pretty cool - a beautiful old building. (This city was incorporated in 1888.)
Chuckle of the day was the sign on a church: "Happy Hour - Sundays 10 a.m. - 11 a.m." :-)
This morning we drove to see "The Great Falls" and the series of dams along the Missouri River and after lunch, we took a look at laptops and computers. No purchase made.
That's about it for this trip. We will be on the road tomorrow with the next stop HOME! It seems we've been gone much longer than 10 weeks.
The most amazing thing about this trip is all the miles we've logged (by RV & and by air) -- from Vancouver Island, to Ottawa, to Arizona and the many places in between !! Plus all the weather changes we've experienced along the way -- from -14C to +34C!! It's been great fun!! But home is sounding pretty good right now!! Time to put this 5th wheel to sleep.
