Site #21 - $23, p/w/s, Internet
We caught the noon ferry from Powell River to Comox and we are now settled in our beach front campsite on the Island -- a little north of Courtenay. We love our ocean view and we can now see all the night lights from Powell River across the Strait.... so cool !!
Once set up, we took a drive up to Campbell River - Salmon Capital of the World. What a beautiful city. We just drove along Marine Drive, but both of us found it such a pretty community. They have a great seawalk/bike path which we'd love to ride, but unfortunately .... the weather forecast for the next week is rain rain rain....So I'm not sure we'll get that opportunity :-( anyway.. we have been SO lucky with our weather to date, so no complaints!
