The gardeners were busy pulling out many of the plants and planting different ones. Anyway, it seemed to be a bit lacking, but maybe just the 3rd time visiting was more than enough for me! I must admit I wasn't very excited about going in the first place! (It was Ron's desire!) We had a wheelchair and I alternately pushed and rode.
We then picked up a few groceries and sat in a Shopping Centre waiting until we could head to the ferry. We were told to arrive between 4 & 4:30 and that's what we did. (I must admit that it's a little stressful pulling a RV through busy downtown Victoria!) Anyway, we spent the night in Lane 9 at the Ferry dock!
There was lots of activity in the harbour with the boats and seaplanes coming and going, so it was all very interesting and very beautiful. We had great view of the Empress Hotel and all the city lights reflecting on the harbour. If the truth be known, it was most likely a multi-million dollar view for the price of a ferry ride (PLUS it was a free night of camping for us!!) We actually considered asking how long we could stay. It was THAT beautiful!
So we had a leisurely, candlelight chicken dinner complete with wine. It doesn't get any better than that!! There were 2 other RV's parked behind us, but one couple was just securing their spot for morning and they walked home which was a couple of blocks away.
That's about it for today's report. It took me almost an hour to find a way in to the Day's Inn Internet across the street! Room #411 must be occupied and okayed for internet usage :-) too funny!
